This actually helped me fit my dedic...Great guide. <br />This actually helped me fit my dedicated tow bar wiring as I couldn't see how to get the panel off to run the wires to the front. <br />Seeing as I was there I changed the speakers for some I already had. Then just turned the bass up on the back speakers on my aftermarket headunit. In this case th...Ok, I see why you are confused...<br /><br />In this case the adaptor was not for fitting speakers of a different size... but simply to make fitting after-market speakers easier...<br /><br />If you look at my last picture, the OEM speakers are fitted with three bolts in a triangle arrangement. Assuming your car is the same as a...Hi, thanks! :)<br /><br />Assuming your car is the same as a standard UK spec car then the original speakers are 6.5 inch. The new speakers I fitted were 17cm which I believe is approximately 6.5 inches.<br /><br />I bought the adaptors over ebay, just search for "e46 speaker adaptors". Make sure you get the right size adaptors though, there are adaptor plates that allow you to fit smaller 13cm (5 inch) speakers.
